There has been a change in the Joint Venture Partnership which will design and build the massive Cedar Valley Lodge worker camp for the LNG Canada project in Kitimat.

Texas-based Civeo has announced it has dissolved its partnership with Ontario's Bird Construction, and will no longer be involved in the lodge project.

ATCO will replace Civeo as Bird's Joint Venture Partner, and through an agreement with the Haisla First Nation, will design, engineer and construct what ATCO says is one of the largest accommodation facilities ever built in Canada.

Civeo is not disappearing from Kitimat however -- the company says it has been awarded a room commitment from LNG Canada, and will expand the existing Sitka Lodge work camp, which will house the initial LNG Canada construction workforce, as well as workers building the western-most section of the Coastal GasLink pipeline.
