Avalanche Control Planned Today Between Prince Rupert and Terrace

Highway 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert is going to be closed down for a while today for avalanche control work.

CN Avalanche Control activity is planned between the Telegraph Point Rest Area and Kasiks River Bridge between 10:30 this morning and 1:30 this afternoon.

Delays of one hour can be expected.

Avalanche control work planned between Port Edward Turnoff and Shames Mountain Rd for 23.3 km (54 km east of Prince Rupert to 58 km west of Terrace). Starting Fri Dec 21 at 10:30 AM PST until Fri Dec 21 at 1:30 PM PST. The road will be closed. CN Avalanche Control activity between Telegraph Point Rest Area and Kasiks River Bridge.
