BCHL Coming to Kitimat -- thanks to LNG Canada

Junior "A" hockey is coming to Kitimat -- at least for one weekend -- thanks to LNG Canada.

The BC Hockey League has announced the "LNG Canada BCHL Road Show" -- a new league event which will debut during the upcoming season.

And its first event will be a pair of neutral-site games at Tamitik Arena, between the reigning "Fred Page Cup" Champion Prince George Spruce Kings and the Langley Rivermen.

The games will be played Saturday February 15th and Sunday the 16th.

As part of the Road Show event, a youth hockey clinic will be held in Kitimat on Friday, February 14th which will also involve the Vancouver Canucks Alumni.

There will be an autograph session involving alumni from both the BCHL and the Canucks.

League Commissioner Chris Hebb -- who's originally from Prince Rupert -- says the league is excited to be able to showcase its talent outside of its 17 local markets -- and reach hockey fans that might not be able to attend BCHL games.
