Former Burns Lake Mayor Luke Stimbold will learn his fate next Wednesday (Dec 4), after a sentencing hearing was held Tuesday in Smithers.

The 28-year-old Strimbold pleaded guilty in May to two counts of sexual assault and one count each of sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.

He was originally charged with 29 offences over a two-year period against seven victims, who were all under 16 years.

Crown prosecutors asked for a sentence of four to six years in prison.
