Central Interior Hockey League Weekend Action

Hillary Johnson

First place in Central Interior Hockey League standings is on the line, as the regular season wraps up this weekend - starting with a head-to-head showdown between the top two teams tonight in Prince Rupert.

The league-leading Terrace River Kings enter the weekend just one point ahead of the second-place Prince Rupert Rampage, with the two teams meeting tonight at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

Then tomorrow, the River Kings return home to face the Smithers Steelheads at the Terrace Sportsplex, while the Rampage close out their schedule with a home game against the Hazelton Wolverines.

Also tomorrow, the defending league champion Quesnel Kangaroos are in Williams Lake to play the Stampeders.

Hazelton is currently in third place in the standings, but only one point ahead of Quesnel.
Williams Lake is in fifth place, two points ahead of the Kitimat Ice Demons - with Smithers in the basement.
