Ferries Offer Food Again

Kathy Brookes

Food services are returning to some B.C. ferries, including those serving Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii.

B.C. Ferries says passengers can now enjoy packaged food items and limited hot food services on the Inside Passage route between Port Hardy and Prince Rupert and on the ferry running between Prince Rupert and Skidegate.

All hot food will be served in packaging for customers to take to the outer deck or limited cafeteria seating.

Similar food services have returned now to the major south coast ferry routes as well.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, B.C.Ferries is reminding passengers they have to have a face covering and wear it when they can't keep at least two metres away from other people.

On the south coast routes, passengers are also encouraged to stay in their vehicles, something they can't do on the northern routes.
