Ten years ago, the eyes of the Canadian hockey world were on Terrace, as the city hosted the 2009 Kraft Hockeyville NHL exhibition game between the Vancouver Canucks and New York Islanders -- and this December, the northwest will again be in the national spotlight.

Rogers Hometown Hockey announced yesterday that hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone will be visiting Prince Rupert on Sunday December 8th, as part of the national broadcast of the NHL game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Edmonton Oilers.

The game itself will be played at Rogers Place in Edmonton -- but the pre-game show and between-period segments will be broadcast live from Prnice Rupert, beginning at 4:30.
