Winners Crowned in Junior All Native Basketball Tournament, Hosted by Haisla Nation

The winners have been crowned in the four divisions at the Junior All Native Basketball Tournament, which wrapped up Saturday at Tamitik Arena in Kitimat.

The Prince Rupert Tribesmen defended their Under-17 Boys championship, by defeating Snuneymux in the final.

The Under-17 Girls champions are the Gitxsan Mystics from Gitanmaax, who outscored Greenville in the championship game.

In the Under-13 divisions, Haisla beat Tseshaht to win the Girls Championship, while the Greenville Wolverines won the Boys crown, by beating Lax Kwalaams. 

A record 83 teams took part in the week-long tournament, which was hosted in Kitimat and Kitamaat Village by the Haisla Nation.
