The Evacuation Alert in the area near the Lejac Wildfire has been completely rescinded now.

The Bulkley-Nechako Regional District made the decision late this afternoon.

Earlier in the day, the B.C. Wildfire Service reported the blaze west of Fraser Lake was 70% contained with constructed and natural guards completely surrounding it.

Fifty-six firefighters, 2 helicopters and 10 pieces of heavy equipment were working the fire which covered 236 hectares.

The Lejac Fire erupted on Saturday and it is believed to be "human caused".
