Telkwa Couple Win $20 Million In LottoMax Draw

A $20 win turned into a $20-million windfall for a couple from Telkwa, thanks to a break with tradition.

Ken Salter said he didn't usually buy tickets on the Tuesday draw of Lotto Max -- but made an exception on Tuesday, October 29th, using the $20 he'd won on the previous Friday draw -- and this time he hit the jackpot!

Ken and his wife Susan Salter were in Kamloops this morning, where they collected their $20 million prize for matching all seven numbers in the October 29th draw.

Ken says he was shaking like a leaf when he discovered they had won -- then had trouble convincing Susan when he phoned her with the good news.

The Salters say they plan to use the money to build their dream home on their property in Telkwa -- but first they'll take a river cruise in Europe to celebrate.
