More Charges Laid Against Suspect in Thornhill Crash

More charges have been laid against Terrace man, who was arrested following a police chase last week which ended in a single-vehicle crash in Thornhill.

Thirty-three-year-old Nathan McNamara was already charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and with fleeing police, related to last Wednesday's police chase.

And RCMP sayThornhill-Pole-Repair-after-crash-Jun2018-1.jpg he's now being charged with obstructing a police officer and mischief to property, resulting from occurrences while he was in police custody on Tuesday.

McNamara was arrested following a police pursuit which began on Queensway Drive last Wednesday night at around 10 o'clock, and which ended after the vehicle he's accused of driving collided with a power pole on Crescent Street.

Two passengers in the vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.   

McNamara remains in police custody awaiting court.
