Quesnel to host 2020 Coy Cup

With the start of the local hockey season just around the corner, the Quesnel Kangaroos have announced they will be hosting next spring's Coy Cup Provincial Senior Men's Hockey Championships. 

The Central Interior Hockey League team announced on Facebook that BC Hockey has awarded the 2020 tournament to Quesnel, with the games to be played in the newly-built West Fraser Centre.

Team president Tyler Coleman says the club is very proud of its history in the Coy Cup, having won the trophy 11 times since its first championship in 1966. 

The CIHL season begins Saturday, September 21st, when the Prince Rupert Rampage host the Smithers Steelheads at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
