Seawolves Go For Gold as Bantam Tier 4 Hockey Provincials Enter Medal Round

The host Prince Rupert Seawolves ended the round-robin portion of the Bantam Tier Four Provincial Hockey Championships undefeated at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre -- and will go for the gold this afternoon.

The Seawolves ended off the round-robin with a 4-1 win over Prince George last night -- and will play in the Gold Medal game at 1pm against Windermere Valley.


In the Bronze Medal Game, Fort St John defeated Prince George 6-2 this morning (Wednesday).. 

Elsewhere, the Terrace Kermode Reps have made the playoffs at both the Bantam and Midget Tier Three Provincials.

The Bantam tournament is in Port Hardy, where Terrace lost to Mission 10-2 in its final round-robin game yesterday -- the Kermodes play Tri-Port this morning at 11.

At the Midget provincials in Cranbrook, Terrace lost 4-2 to Mission yesterday, and will play in the semi-finals this morning.

In Pee Wee hockey, the Terrace Kermodes play Whitehorse this morning at 7 to finish off the round robin of the Tier Three provincials in Powell River -- yesterday, they outscored Burnaby 10-1.

And the Prince Rupert Seawolves take on Summerland at 1:45 this afternoon at the Tier Four tournament in Lillooet -- they'll still have one more round-robin game tomorrow morning against 100-Mile House.  Yesterday, the Seawolves fell to 1-2-and-1, after dropping a 14-3 decision to Burnaby.
