Terrace Skater Prepares for Nationals

Lenuik home for the holidays, readies for Canadian Championships

A Terrace figure skater has returned home for the Christmas break, as she prepares for the national championships coming up in Victoria next month.

Jacqueline Lenuik placed tenth at the Senior Challenge in Mississauga, Ontario, earlier this month, and secured a spot at the B-M-O Canadian Championships January 21st to 23rd -- one of only two B-C skaters in the "senior ladies" category. She's the first Terrace skater ever to qualify for the competitive nationals.

She's spending this week training in Terrace, and heads back down to Burnaby next Monday.
