Although this weekend was rainy, the 29th Mid Summer Music Festival didn't suffer and despite the muddy ground people still took their shoes off to dance barefoot. Good For Grapes front man Daniel Mc Burnie says “The people here are just fantastic the energy is just fantastic, its just a bunch of people who want to hear good music and just want to have fun, last night was one of the best show experiences we've ever had, so definitely 29 more years, please."
The Mid Summers Festival is run by volunteers and has been doing so for the past 29 years. Mid Summer Music Festival’s Hospitality Volunteer says it’s all about seeing everyone happy “To be social with people, just to be down here and have people come in and enjoying what we can do and the music we can provide that part of it, like that why were are doing it so other people can come and be happy and I think for the most part is really works."
For the Festival 30th anniversary Mid Summer Music Festival PR Coordinator, Cynthia Rondeau, says it's going to be quite the show. “You know what, it’s the Smithers centennial we have a different budget for next year and we are going to up the anti... next is going to be very special you won't want to miss next year’s festival."
