Terrace Crime Stoppers is pushing ahead with modernizing its way of collecting tips.

The volunteer group is setting up software that will allow people to text in tips on crimes, while maintaining anonymity.

Crime Stoppers recently received a 17-hundred dollar contribution from the Rotary Club of Terrace -- to go along with one thousand dollar donations from the Skeena Valley club and Rio Tinto Alcan.   The City of Terrace has committed 500 dollars, while other Terrace businesses, such as Rona and Your Decor, have chipped in 200.
