Warren Andrew Sill

The search is on going for an American filmmaker, who disappeared about 40 minutes outside of the Hazeltons while filming a documentary on the Spirit Bear.  26 year old Warren Andrew Sill told friends and family he would be exploring the area for four or five days, on July 4th.

His blue/grey Pontiac Torrent, with Ohio licence plates was left at Gull Creek near the Entrance of Whiskey Creek Trail.  Media Relations Cst. Lesley Smith says “As of yet we are doing an aerial search with our air services, we have a number of ATV's that are looking in this terrain, as well as a number of volunteers and search and rescue.  So we got the ground covered as well as an aerial search and we are going into our 5th day of searching at this point.  At this stage we are just looking for any clues that might locate Mr. Sill or see if there was a path that he has taken or he has gone exploring further than he thought he was going to be.”

Sill is thought to be an inexperienced outdoors man and RCMP say he didn't have the equipment to last the five days he intended to be outdoors for.
