RCMP in Terrace are looking for answers after a motorhome went for an unauthorized trip.

The owner of the recreational vehicle was returning home from vacation yesterday when they discovered it on the side of Highway 16 about 15 kilometres west of Kitwanga.

Police say the 1985 GMC motorhome must have been taken from where it was left at 4534 Kalum Street in Terrace sometime between July 16th and yesterday.

When it was discovered, the vehicle wouldn't start, but it didn't appear to have been damaged, and only a few items were taken from inside.
