Kitimat's Chief Administrative Officer says he has too much on his plate.. so council has decided to hire an Assistant C-A-O.

Warren Waycheshen will be taking on the newly-created role in the upcoming weeks.

C-A-O Ron Poole says Waycheshen has a sparkling track record.

"He is currently the CAO in Gibsons..a nd prior to that he was the CAO in McKenzie.. He has a background in finance, which is good. He was a treasurer. Prior to getting into local government he also has a background in private business."

Poole also says Waycheshen will focus more on the day-to-day management of municipal duties.. while Poole will have a chance to work more on the community's ongoing projects.

Kitimat council plans to make the role of Assistant C-A-O a permanent one.
