Kitimat RCMP are investigating an attack on a woman behind Nechako Elementary School yesterday morning.

Police say the 21-year-old woman has attacked by an unknown man while she was walking on a path between the trees and Pintail Street around 8:20 am.
 
Corporal Darrly Peppler says she suffered scratches to her face and arms, but said she kicked the man and managed to get away.

The man is described as 40 to 50 years old, aboriginal, about six feet tall, with short scruffy dark hair and stubble on his face. 

He was wearing a red T-shirt.

RCMP are asking anyone with information about the incident to call them or Crime Stoppers.
