The Smithers Art Gallery is hosting its second six by six auction fundraiser for the gallery at the end of this month.

The gallery is looking for art pieces that measure out to be six by six inches and can come in a number of different mediums... The gallery is selling wood panels for artist to use but it is certainly not limited to that.

6X6 Auction Fundraising Events Director Poppy Dubar says “I think that it is a lot of fun both in completing your six by six seeing your creation hung on a wall and also to see other people's... the only thing is you don't know who has done them so you don't know if you're buying someone's who's a well established artist in the area or even a preschooler you just don't know.”

Art pieces need to be in for October 13th, and the auction will be on October 26 with a gala.  The proceeds go towards the Smithers Art Gallery.
