Two Injured In Nisga'a Highway Crash
Alcohol not suspected in crash
Two women suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, in a single-vehicle crash on the Nisga'a Highway Thursday.
R-C-M-P say the north-bound vehicle left the highway near Lava Lake, and drove into the rocky terrain of the lava bed, where it came to rest among large boulders -- just a few feet away from a steep drop-off.
The 54-year-old driver of the vehicle, and her 44-year-old passenger were both rushed to Mills Memorial Hospital, but the driver required further care in Vancouver.
The crash is under investigation, but alcohol is not suspected.
