Northern Health is launching their annual flu vaccine campaign as we head into the common flu season.

The health region is launching their influenza vaccine campaign in Prince Rupert on October 29th and will fan out throughout the region over that week.

Public health nurse Kara Wood tells us which group of people must get a flu shot.

"people who are 65 and older, young children six months to 59 months, just under five and people with chronic health conditions as well."

The Flu clinic will be held at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre in Prince from 8 am to 3 pm on the 29th and 30th and updates schedules for other areas of the northwest are available on the Northern Health website.
