The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating the death of a commercial diver off Haida Gwaii over the weekend.
Fifty-one-year-old Robert Wayne Antifave of Lantzville on Vancouver Island was diving for geoducks -- a large type of clam -- from a boat Saturday morning.
The coroners service says colleagues on the boat noticed he was in medical distress as he was coming up from a dive.
He was flown to hospital in Queen Charlotte but couldn't be resusciated.
