They call it the "Defend Our Coast" day of action. Opponents of the Enbridge Northern Gateway project -- and Kinder Morgan's proposal to expand its pipeline to Vancouver -- will hold protest rallies at over 60 communities around the province -- including four here in the northwest.
The plan is for protesters to link arms in front of M-L-A offices in Kitimat and Smithers at 12 noon, in Hazelton at 3pm and in Terrace at 4.
A rally was already held on Monday in Prince Rupert -- along with a massive sit-in at the B-C Legislature in Victoria.
Enbridge plans to build a 11-hundred kilometre dual pipeline system from Alberta to Kitimat carrying bitumen for shipment overseas and Kinder Morgan wants to expand its pipeline, which moves oil from Alberta to Vancouver.
