JRP's Return to Rupert Delayed

More time required for hearings in PG

10/30/2012

The arrival of the Enbridge pipeline review panel in Prince Rupert is being delayed.

The Joint Review Panel has announced it will not be in the Rainbow City to start hearing questions and answers about marine and emergency safety issues November 22nd to 29th as originally planned.

Instead, it will continue hearings in Prince George that week.

The panel recognized earlier this month that it would need more time in Prince George and thought about doing that in the New Year.  However, it's now decided shuffling the time originally scheduled in Prince Rupert would be more efficient.

Hearings are still scheduled December 10th to 18th in Prince Rupert.

There's no word yet if additional dates will be set there as well.
