The Terrace Midget Kermodes will play for gold tonight (Wednesday) at the Midget Tier Three Provincial Hockey Championships in Cranbrook.

After finishing the round-robin with a 2-and-1 record, Terrace edged Squamish 3-2 in a nail-biting semi-final game this morning.

The Kermodes will play Mission tonight at 7:45 for the BC Championship;  Mission advanced with a 6-3 win over Powell River in this morning's other semi-final.

Powell River and Squamish will play for bronze, prior to the Gold Medal game between Terrace and Mission.

However, at the Bantam Tier Three Provincials in Port Hardy, it was heartbreak for Terrace -- the Kermode Reps lost a 6-5 overtime game to the host team --  North Island Eagles -- in this morning's semi-final.

Terrace plays Whistler in the Bronze medal game this afternoon at 5, and then North Island takes on Mission for the Gold.
