Woman Rescued After Suffering Injury While Running On Terrace Mountain

A Terrace woman is recovering, after becoming injured while running on Terrace Mountain yesterday.

Members of Terrace Search-and-Rescue were called in by the BC Ambulance Service at around 10:45 yesterday morning, after the woman slipped and fractured her leg while hking with a friend at the top of the Downtube Trail.

SAR volunteers were able to put a splint on the injured leg, and then carry her by stretcher down the trail.

The woman's husband and a local biker were able to help Search-and-Rescue get her down the T2 Bike Trail and to a waiting ambulance.
