Terrace RCMP investigate sudden death behind curling rink

RCMP  in Terrace are asking for the public's help as they investigate a sudden death.
A body was discovered Friday morning at around 11 in a wooded area between the Terrace Curling Rink and the CN Rail tracks.
Police haven't said whether the person was male or female but are asking anyone who might have seen or heard anything in the area to contact them.
Investigators are also hoping to talk to anyone who might have surveillance video of the area. 
In the meantime, the public is asked to please stay away from the area while police investigate.


Public’s help requested in sudden death investigation

Police are asking the public for its support and assistance after a deceased person was discovered in a wooded area Friday morning.

Around 11 a.m., Friday May 15, Terrace RCMP discovered a sudden death in the wooded area between the curling rink and railway tracks.

Police are requesting anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area to please contact Terrace RCMP. Anyone who has surveillance of the area or information about what transpired is also asked to call 250-638-7400 and reference file 20-4558.

The public is asked to please refrain from going near the area while police investigate this occurrence.

No further information will be released at this time.
