Thrive North Finalists

Kathy Brookes

Five Northwest entrepreneurs are among the finalists in this year's Thrive North Business Challenge.

A dozen finalists have been selected in three categories from among 65 participants.

The Northwest business ventures are a Prince Rupert pet groomer, a holistic esthetics service in Smithers, and a farmer, driving school and athletic wear maker -- all in Terrace.

They'll all be preparing now for a pitch competition in front of a panel of judges and an audience.

The final Thrive North event this year takes place May 7th at the REM Lee Theatre in Terrace. Winners will share in $35,000 to help advance their enterprises.
