The power was restored within hours, but other kinds of clean-up continue in Terrace after Monday's windstorm.

The City of Terrace is advising trail users throughout the community to exercise extreme caution to avoid being struck by loose branches or unstable trees.

Trails of particular concern are on Ferry Island, along Howe Creek, in Tetrault Park and on Terrace Mountain.

Sections of trail on Ferry Island have been closed and the City is urging people to respect the signs there.

A news release says city crews are working diligently to remove dangerous trees and debris and re-open the trails.
