CIHL: Rampage Move Closer to Top With Lopsided Win Over Ice Demons

1/8/2018

The Prince Rupert Rampage have taken over sole possession of third place in the Central Interior Hockey League standings.

The Rampage were led by hat-tricks from Cody Cringen and Kory Movold as they mowed down the Kitimat Ice Demons 10-3 at Tamitik.

The Ice Demons opened the scoring with an early goal from captain Derek Wakita.

But the Rampage then took control of the game and turned it into a rout.

Prince Rupert has 16 points in the standings -- they're one point behind the second-place Williams Lake Stampeders, with those two teams scheduled to go head-to-head next Saturday night at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

The Terrace River Kings lead the league with 20 points -- they'll host Kitimat Saturday night at the Sportsplex.

The Ice Demons then host Williams Lake next Sunday afternoon at Tamitik.
