Northwest Communities Looking to Attract and Keep Workers For Long Term


Communities across the northwest are coming together to try and attract people to working and living here for the long term.

Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat, and the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine (St-keen) say recent surveys conducted with businesses have shown an issue of attracting and keeping employees in communities for a long-term period.

A marketing group will now spend now the next couple of months determining a research-based approach for marketing the region as an attractive location for working professionals and potential residents to relocate.

Officials believe this will have numerous benefits for the area which includes a stronger economy.
