City Funding Cuts

The City of Prince Rupert will be cutting 25-percent or more in funding and grants in 2010.  Councillors and the mayor have agreed that any group that received funding in 2009 be subject to a 25-percent cut in 2010 since the city itself is dealing with financial constraints during this difficult economic climate. The city is encouraging organizations in need of funding to approach the city earlier in the year rather than later.
