Elders Gathering a Boost

Prince Rupert's Mayor says the whole northwest benefited from having the 32nd BC Elders Gathering in Prince Rupert.   The four-day event wrapped up last Thursday, and Herb Pond says it brought thousands of people to the region, and many said they'd be back.  This was the first time since 1992 the Elders Gathering was held on the northwest.  And the northwest will host the event again next year -- only this time it'll take place in Terrace, hosted by the Nisga'a Nation.
