There's still no sign of a missing 47-year-old woman, who fell into the Kitimat River Monday afternoon in a canoeing accident.

RCMP say water levels are still pretty high due to recent heavy rains, though they've been dropping most of this week. Police say there are areas they are having trouble getting to, because of logs and other debris in the river.

The woman was with a group of people in a canoe, which overturned on the Kitimat River near Nalibila Creek Monday afternoon. The other three people managed to make it to shore, but the woman did not re-surface.

RCMP ground and air crews have been looking for the missing woman, along with members of Kitimat Search and Rescue, Terrace Water Rescue, the DFO and Kitimat Hatchery personnel.

The woman's name hasn't been released but it's believed she was visiting the area from overseas.
