Helicopter Crashes near Terrace

A helicopter crash has crashed near Terrace, and the Transportation Safety Board says the pilot has been seriously injured.
The Board's Bill Yearwood says the Bell Long Ranger, operated by Quantum Helicopters, went down around 11 o'clock this morning about 35 kilometres northeast of Terrace.
That's in the Legate Creek area.
Yearwood says the pilot is believed to have been the only person on board, and efforts were underway to rescue the pilot.
Quantum Helicopters is based at the Terrace-Kitimat airport.
