No Tsunami Threat to B.C. After Alaska Quake

Kathy Brookes

Emergency officials in B.C. decided this afternoon that there was no risk of a tsunami to our coast after a strong earthquake in Alaska.

The 7.5 magnitude quake struck of the Alaska Peninsula and U.S. authorities issued tsunami warnings along a long stretch of the state's coast.

Emergency Management B.C. eventually said a Tweet that there was no threat to B.C.
