Word has recently come out from the BC River Forecast Centre with a very crucial warning regarding the North Coast.

The Forecast Centre has issued a Flood Watch for the Nass River & tributaries around Stewart, Terrace, Prince Rupert, Kitimat as well as a few other coastal communities in BC mainly due to the heavy Rainfall Warnings that have been forecast for the North Coast and the Terrace Kitimat area.

This means that the local River levels are rising and could end up getting close to overflowing or completely exceeding it's bankfull and flooding could potentially occur in areas that are adjacent to the affected bodies of water.

It's also not clear as to when the precipitation could clear up a bit and the Flood Watch seems like it will be in place until further notice.
