The Central Interior Hockey League kicked off this weekend, it was a successful homestand for the Terrace River Kings as they won their home opener by a score of 8-2 over the HazeltonWolverines, followed by an 11-2 win against Nechako the following day. 

The Kitimat Ice Demons hosted the Smithers Steelheads this Saturday, with Smithers coming out on top with a 4-3 overtime win. 

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Prince Rupert Rampage also dominated their home opener against the Nechako Northstars in a 10-1 win.
