TERRACE, B.C. -- After spending two years at the helm, Coast Mountain College President and C.E.O. Justin Kohlman is heading back to the prairies.

The college announced Kohlman, who's originally from Saskatchewan, is resigning his position as of November 1st, in order to take on the same role at Grande Prairie Regional College in Alberta.

Kohlman has been with Coast Mountain College for six years, joining first as a Vice President (Academic and International), when the college was known as Northwest Community College, and he was promoted to President and C.E.O in October 2019.

He says working at Coast Mountain College has been a "dream job" but he's excited about returning to the Prairies and being closer to family.

College Board Chair Nicole Halbauer says the recruitment process to replace Kohlman will begin soon.
