New reports are surfacing that the City of Terrace's project attempting to install brand new water and sewer pipes on both the 4800 and 4900 blocks of Graham Avenue keeps going over budget.

The project, which will also include some road re-surfacing for the blocks too, originally started out at a set price of $2.59 Million but has since gone from that to $3.96 Million and now all the way up $4.74 Million.

Some of the listed reasons for the continuous budget increases include work crews coming across some natural gas utilities that they didn't know about before hand, both the costs of materials as well as the scheduled times for staff being way over the original estimates and the construction work getting pushed back for two months because groundwater from the Skeena River began seeping into the work area.
