Much of the Terrace community was getting ready for the week when a sudden power outage shut down much of the city Monday morning.

At the intersection of Monroe and Highway 16, after 7 a.m., there was a motor vehicle accident right near the Toyota dealership in Terrace. Though the power did go out in some of the residential neighborhoods shortly after the accident.

Downtown was the area that had been affected the most. A total of 314 customers were affected, according to the BC Hydro website.
