Initial Attack crews are responding to the Little Oliver Creek wildfire (R50752). This fire was reported on July 8 and is currently estimated to be 130 hectares in size. Additional resources will be deployed as needed. This fire is 45 kilometres northeast of Terrace, and highly visible from Highway 16. Please exercise extra caution while driving in the vicinity.

The current hot, dry, and windy conditions make it easier for fires to start. We continue to watch the weather forecast closely. A weather disturbance across the Northwest Fire Centre is expected on Wednesday, with high winds, lightning and rainfall expected in most parts of the centre.
