PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. -- The RCMP are asking the public for information that might help them find a man who's been missing since early July on a trip to Prince Rupert.

A news release from Kelowna RCMP says 43-year-old Shawn Weaver left the Kelowna area to go fishing in Prince Rupert and never arrived.

He was reported missing more than a month later on August 21st.

Police say they've followed up on numerous leads but haven't located Weaver.

Weaver is described as:

        First Nations male;

        43-years old;

        5’6/168 cm tall;

        196 lbs/89 kg;

        brown hair;

        hazel eyes.

 

RCMP say he was believed to be driving a grey 2-door 2012 Honda Civic such as the one pictured above (BC licence plate GT864V) and was travelling with his French bulldog.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the RCMP or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers.
