A Legacy of Love for Wildlife in Prince Rupert

Wildlife Rehab Shelter (CFTKTV)

At 90 years old, a Prince Rupert woman continues to dedicate her life to rescuing and caring for injured wildlife — from rabbits and ducks to owls and eagles. For decades, the home of Nancy Goilnia has been a safe haven for countless animals and birds in need of shelter, healing, and a second chance at life.

While her passion and commitment remain as strong as ever, she is now calling on the community for support. With limited resources and growing demand, she says help is urgently needed — especially with medical care and daily upkeep for the animals.

Volunteers occasionally step in to lend a hand, but more consistent support could ensure the shelter’s future. Whether through time, supplies, or financial donations, every contribution makes a difference in keeping the animals safe and cared for.

Her story is not just about protecting wildlife — it is about resilience, compassion, and the power of community to come together for a greater cause.

She extends her heartfelt gratitude to the Kitimat Humane Society for the constant support the shelter has received from her organization.
