Altagas recently released a statement to respond to some of the claims made against them by the striking workers from their Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal.
Altasgas said that they have proposed various methods of how to staff their operations crew in order to help deal with unplanned absences and production requirements, which included increasing the number of staff on an operations crew.
The statement next stated that Altagas values the contributions of their employees and are still open to negotiating with their union partners.
They also emphasized that their current contingency plans to keep the terminal operational are only temporary while mentioning that their non-union employees are just as certified to perform the tasks at the facility as the union employees are.
