BC Conservation Officer Service Investigation results in multiple charges

An 18 month investigation by the BC Conservation Officer Service into some unlawful hunting on Northern BC’s Gladys Lake Ecological Reserve recently concluded.

The results of the investigation have led to a corporation and two individuals getting charged with several offences under the BC Wildlife Act and Ecological Reserve Regulations.

Shawn Gilson was charged on 18 counts, 15 of which were under the Wildlife Act and the other 3 were under the Ecological Reserve regulations.

Michael Gilson was charged on 10 counts, 7 under the Wildlife Act and 3 under the Ecological Reserve regulations.

And Spatsizi River Outfitters Ltd was hit with 10 counts as well, the same as Michael Gilson.

The first Provincial Court session covering this case was set to happen today.
