This past Saturday saw a large portion of Northern BC, including much of Terrace, suffer a massive power outage which BC Hydro has said happened after strong winds made their way through the region.
BC Hydro also mentioned that crews from the Lower Mainland and Southern Interior were travelling to come and provide help with the repairs.
The outage even resulted in Kitwanga Elementary School being closed down for today since their power was said to most likely come back at around 4 PM.
The list of areas on BC Hydro’s still ongoing outage list included Prince Rupert, Chetwynd, Granisle, Stewart and Smithers.
New updates to that list can found on BC Hydro’s website.
