The BC NDP recently made an election promise that residents of Haida Gwaii will likely be very interested to hear about.

The NDP promised that if they get re-elected, they will bring a new CT scanner to the Haida Gwaii Hospital and Health Centre.

According to the NDP’s statement about the promise, a new Scanner expects to reduce unnecessary patient transfers by about 40%.

North Coast-Haida Gwaii MLA candidate Tamara Davidson said that Haida Gwaii deserves healthcare access that is close to home.
